The 5,seat Thomas E. Corts Arena for basketball and volleyball is the centerpiece, with a capacity of 6, for concerts, graduation ceremonies and other programs with floor seating. Originally opened in , the lower floor played host to Samford basketball until the main gym was added in At that time, the basketball teams moved upstairs and used the facility for the past 41 years.
